I have been in Scouting since the first grade. I started as a Tiger in Cub Scouts and after seven years in Scouting I am now working on my Eagle Rank with Troop 56, Burr Ridge, Illinois. My final requirement to earn Eagle is to complete an Eagle Project. An Eagle Project is a service project that requires me to plan, recruit volunteers, acquire materials, and act as the foreman for the project.
In honor of my 6 year old cousin who has been bravely battling stage IV neuroblastoma since he was 4, I have chosen a project that touches very close to home. My project will be to provide wanted/needed items to help lift the spirits of children from infancy to adolescence who are battling cancer. Some of these items consist of the following: infant/toddler toys, books, board games, Barbie dolls, iTunes gift cards, and much more. It is my hope that by providing these items to the children it will help make their stay at the hospital a little bit easier while going through treatment.
The time has now come for my project to commence, but I cannot complete this on my own. I would like to inquire about getting your help to achieve this glorious task bestowed upon me. I am asking for donations which are listed in the "Wish List" link below. If you are willing and able to donate to my project to help me in my journey of achieving the ultimate Scouting honor, Eagle Scout, it would be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!
